Fabric Dyeing with ice is MAGIC! In this class we will learn how to fold & bind mandala designs into a 30 × 48 inch tapestry. We will dye the fabric with an ice melt technique that creates an incredible watercolor wash of pigments. There will be a short lecture to share the techniques and supplies needed to take this craft out of the classroom and into practice in your own space. All supplies provided!
Dyes being used are commercial grade synthetic dyes called procion MX fiber reactive dyes. The chemical bonds of these dyes are permanent, non-toxic, and safe against even sensitive skin. There will be aprons and PPE available, but please wear something you wouldn’t mind getting a splash of dye on… just in case!

Sat. April 18 12 - 2 pm = Lecture, Tying & Dyeing
Tues. April 21 OR Weds. April 22 = Wash out & take home, 30 minutes at most - drop in anytime between 4 & 7 pm.
Please make sure you can attend Saturday’s workshop AND one of the wash out dates!
This is a small & intimate class with only 5 participants plus myself.

IMPORTANT CANCELLATION INFORMATION:
For a full refund, cancellations must be made 72 hours (3 days!) before the class starts. In this case, you must reach out before noon on April 15th.
If something comes up last minute, (I know that life is like that sometimes!) I will honor half of your registration fee ($30) as a refund or you can keep your full registration fee ($60) and attend a class at a later date.
